URGENT: Video Editor Needed – Cinematic Polish, Audio Cleanup & Color Grade

We are looking for an experienced video editor to take an already mostly completed promotional video and bring it through the final professional editing stage.

The overall structure, footage selection, voiceover, and majority of the edit are already in place. We are not looking for someone to completely rebuild the video. The goal is to review the existing edit, identify areas that can be improved, polish the footage and audio, and deliver a finished video that feels cinematic, dramatic, cohesive, and professional.

Project Deadline

This project has a fast turnaround.

Our preferred deadline for final delivery is:

Thursday, September 24, 2026 by 5:00 PM ET

We can provide some flexibility and extend final delivery to:

Friday, September 25, 2026

Please only apply if you are available to begin immediately and can prioritize the project within this timeframe. We will be available for feedback and approvals to help keep revisions moving quickly.

Scope of Work

1. Review & Optimize Existing Edit

Review the current video and make recommendations where pacing, clip selection, timing, or sequencing could be improved.

Tighten unnecessary pauses or awkward transitions.

Improve the overall flow while maintaining the existing message and structure.

2. Audio Enhancement

Audio quality varies across some of the footage and needs professional cleanup and balancing.

This may include:

Noise reduction / background noise cleanup

EQ adjustments

Compression and normalization

Voice enhancement

Matching audio levels between different clips

Improving overall clarity and consistency

The goal is for dialogue and voiceover to sound clean, balanced, and professional throughout the entire video.

3. Color Correction & Visual Polish

Color correct footage for consistency between clips.

Apply tasteful color grading where appropriate.

Improve exposure, contrast, highlights, shadows, and overall image quality.

Create a slightly more cinematic / dramatic visual style without making the footage look overly processed.

4. Music & Sound Design

We want the finished piece to have more emotional impact.

The editor should:

Select or recommend cinematic background music that complements the video.

Build the music underneath the narration without overpowering it.

Use natural rises, drops, and transitions in the music to reinforce important moments.

Add subtle sound design where appropriate.

Properly blend music, dialogue, ambient sound, and transitions.

Music must be commercially licensed/royalty-free or provided through an appropriate licensing source.

5. Transitions & Clip Blending

Smooth out transitions between scenes.

Blend footage so the video feels intentional rather than like individual clips placed together.

Use professional, subtle transitions rather than excessive effects.

Match transitions and pacing with the music and narration.

Final Deliverables

We need two finished versions:

Landscape Version – 16:9

Primary/full video

Suitable for website, YouTube, presentations, and digital advertising

Vertical Social Version – 9:16

Reframed specifically for vertical viewing

Important subjects/text should be repositioned as needed rather than simply cropping the landscape version

Suitable for Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, YouTube Shorts, and similar platforms

Final exports should be delivered in high-quality MP4 format.

We would also like the final editable project file and associated assets upon completion.

Ideal Freelancer

We are looking for someone who has experience with:

Corporate/promotional video editing

Manufacturing, industrial, automotive, marine, or product-focused videos

Cinematic color grading

Dialogue/audio restoration and enhancement

Music-driven pacing and sound design

Adobe Premiere Pro and/or DaVinci Resolve

Creating both landscape and vertical social versions of the same campaign

Working efficiently under a short production deadline

This project is less about flashy effects and more about professional finishing, cinematic storytelling, strong pacing, clean audio, and making an existing video feel like a polished commercial piece.

When Applying

Please include:

Examples of cinematic or commercial videos you have edited

Examples where you handled audio cleanup and color grading

Your preferred editing software

Confirmation that you can meet the September 24 preferred deadline or September 25 extended deadline

Whether you can provide both the final exports and editable project files

We will provide the current edit, original footage/assets where available, brand materials, and direction for the intended tone.
